| Intelligence: Normal Strength: Superhuman Class 10 Speed: Superhuman Reflexes: Superhuman Agility: Superhuman Durability: Normal Stamina: Normal Fighting Skills: Moderate experience at hand-to-hand combat Special Skills and Abilities: Parker is a gifted and and inventive person who even without his superpowers would have made a great contribution to society. Spider-Man apparently has the ability to mentally control the flux of inter-atomic attraction between molecular boundry layers. this ability to affect the attraction between surfaces is limited to his body(especially concentrated in his hands and feet)and another object, with an upper limit of several tons per finger. Spider-Man can also fire a web-like, man-made substance from twin mechanical spinneret mechanisims worn on both wrist, that allow him to swing from various objects such as buildings or subdue foes. The webline like substances tensile strength is estimated to be 120 lbs per square millimeter of a cross section. Superhuman physical powers: Besides the above listed abilities, Spider-Man also posseses the ability to cause parts of his body to stick with great tenacity to most surfaces. He also posseses a greatly increased metabolic efficiency, and the compositionof his skeleton, inner-conective tissues, muscles and nervous system have all been enhanced. Superhuman mental powers: Spider-Man posseses a extrasensory or "spider-sense" that warns him of potential or immediate danger by a tingling sensation in the back of his skull. The precise nature of this sense is unknown. It appears to be a simultanious clairvoyant response to a wide variety of phenomena that would be considered harmful or fatal to him, he can discern the severity of the threat by the strength of the response to it, but not the nature of the threat by the sensation. Special Limitations: Spider-Man is prone to injury, stress and fatigue and sickness, just as a normal human would be. Spider-Man is mortal therefore if he became severly injured or wounded he could die just as a normal human would. Source of Superhuman powers: Parker attended a public exhibition demonstrating the safe handling of nuclear laboratory waste sponsered by the General Techtonics Corporation. During the demonstration a common household spider happened to be in the path of a particle beam accelerator and was massively irradiated. The stricken spider fell on Parker's hand, broke his skin by biting him with its fangs and died. His hand burning from the bite, he then left the exhibition. On the way home he came across a gang of hoodlums, tossing them aside he was amazed by his strength, but then decided to flee and in the process ran into the path of a speeding car and leaped 30 feet upon to a near by wall...and so discovered he now possesed the proportional speed, strength and agility of a spider! |
