I am a member of the Sunflowers Birthmoms Online Support Group. These are a wonderful bunch of women who all have one thing in common....they have adopted out a child, are searching for a child, or may have found a child. All members of the triad should belong to a support group. It is extremely important to help you understand the emotional trauma all members of the triad undergo, to help you with your search and to offer each other support, whether you are an adoptee, a birthparent, or an adoptive parent. Another reunited adoptee/searching birthmom and I saw the need for a support group that brought all members of the Triad together; thus, the "Triad Support ICQ Chat Group" came into being. We meet formally 2 times a week with no formal agenda but to act as support for each other. We have birthparents, birthgrandparents, adoptees, siblings, and adoptive parents as members with a membership of over 120. I am in Charge of Support and would love to have you join us.
