Combat Radar
This ability, when activated, allows the user to act like a sophisticated radar tracking system.  Combat radar functions much like the minor super ability Radar (pg. 236 HU 2nd Edition) with the following additional abilities/modifications:
Range: 100 feet + 5 feet per level
Duration:  3 melee rounds + 1 round per level of experience
Attacks Per Melee: Counts as one melee action to activate and one melee action to track maximum number of targets.
Abilities:
Interpreting Shapes: 15% + 5% per level
Estimating Speed: 20% + 5% per level
Track Target: 35% + 5% per level of experience
(Note:  This power does not give the being the other abilities of Radar.)
The main difference between combat radar and the radar minor ability is combat radar can be used to track multiple targets.  The being can track a total number of targets as half of his mental affinity (drop fractions) plus one more at levels 3, 6, 9, and 12.  So if a level one being has a 17 MA, then he could track (17 / 2 = 8.5) 8 targets as long as they are in range.  Note that everything, animate or inanimate, are potential targets, but only those specifically chosen by the character will be tracked.
If a being has not reached his maximum number of targets, he can to send out a passive wave to acquire any new targets.  The passive wave requires very little concentration but the being is at a -2 to all combat rolls for the sequence.  If any new targets are acquired, the being may begin tracking them at that time without further penalty or loss of action.
Bonuses While Activated:
+1 on initiative
Cannot surprise or sneak up on the character
Penalties in darkness or when blinded are reduced by half
+1 to parry and dodge
Bonuses Against Tracked Targets Only:
+3 to strike with a ranged attack
+4 to strike with a melee attack
Additional +1 to parry and dodge
Disadvantages:  Like the Radar minor ability, this radar can be fouled as well by snow, rain, walls, glass or any other obstacle.  Smoke cuts all bonuses in half and reduces the abilities by 25%.
Also, when blinded or in complete darkness, the character will not be able to tell friends from foes, although there is a chance (25%) he will be able to estimate who is who by last known location and the shape of the target.
