I know the locations of 3 Addams Family machines which aren't listed on your page. There is one machine
in the Kansas City, Missouri Southwest Airlines terminal (KC airport) in a small gameroom. It seemed to
be in good shape but it was a couple years ago I played there. There is another in Tulsa, Oklahoma in an
arcade at the Promenade Mall. This game was a complete ripoff....half the time when the ball exited from
the swamp it drained, completely out of reach of the flipper....plus the machine seemed to have extra "tilt"
(the playing field seemed to be "steeper" than any other Addams Family pinball machines I'd ever played).
Not only that but the flippers weren't the ones that came with the game and shots were extremely hard to
make. I played on this machine 3 weeks ago. The machine I play on now is located at Farleys (pub) in
Las Cruces, NM. It's in decent shape, although shots up the left ramp are extremely hard to make. I think
the upper right flipper may need a little work. There have been problems on and off with this machine, but
the staff will cheerfully refund your money if there are any problems.
I've been playing this game for a longtime and I always played "straight" pinball...going for the skill shots,
bonuses, etc. I had a personal high score of about 200 million playing like that but never approached the
high score at the pub(443 million)....but over the last week I decided to try a new strategy. Now I just go for
Bearkicks. I was shocked to see how the points rack up during bearkicks and got it up to 10 million pts per
kick. Sucks that you have to start all over again with 1M when you drain, but I racked up 350 million using
this new strategy. Yeah, I go for jackpots and skill shots whenever the chance comes up, but I'm now
concentrating on bearkicks. I managed to get about 40 bearkicks (a high for me) during that game. I'm
expecting to rapidly improve my score by mastering bearkicks..and when I do miss them I'll be able to fall
back on my old "skills".
I was curious as to where you are located...if close to Las Cruces, NM or Tulsa, OK maybe we can hook
up for a game sometime. Also, what's your high score? If you've gotten 99 mansion rooms I hesitate to
ask. Oh yeah....what's a good price for this machine?
Best Wishes,
Toby
