Sea-Monkeys was the one toy I never got when I was a kid and I really wish I did!
I first bought myself a really cheap knock-off called SpongeBob Square paints "Plenty-o-plankton" at a local Wallgreens around the holidays to try with my 2 grandsons. Thank goodness I tried it out first because it was total JUNK! I only paid $3.99 for it, so as I always say, you get what you pay for! Anyway, I did a ton of research to figure out what I was doing wrong and discovered that Plenty-O-Plankton was not the same thing as the genuine Sea-Monkeys. Well, this prompted me to find the real deal. I did some searching and Amazon has many different Sea-Monkey kits to choose from. I bought this kit because I'm a SciFi nut any I figured it would be a great conversation piece for my office and it has. I've had people stop by every day to look at them. It really works great and I will buy another one for my grandsons.
Important to note: Read ALL THE DIRECTIONS on the packets and the FAQ's at [...] if you have any troubles. They also have great e-mail support. Water temp and location of the tank is very important. Avoid direct sunlight but using an incandescent light to keep the tank temp above 72° F helps them grow really fast.

Very economic toy that is easy to look after and not require much fuss.
For the price you receive everything you require except the mineral water you need. Sea monkeys enjoy swimming around martian landscape.

Sea monkeys are very easy to look after. Make sure the room they live in warm at all times. Toy doesn't take up much room.

Make sure you keep spare still mineral water water level does go down. Easy to clean.

Sea Monkeys are fun :)
I like this aquarium because the wide base makes it hard to accidentally tip over.

Here's a tip: for an aerator, I bought a cheap two-pack of airstones at the pet store, and popped one right into the Aqua-Leash.
