This website describes a brief history of my scouting throughout the years I have been involved in the Boy Scouts. There are several importants links to other scouting related sites. I hope you enjoy this site. Please sign my guestbook if you have a chance.
I started my scouting career in Cub Scout Pack 1418, in Warren, Michigan, in the mid 1960's. I earned my Arrow of Light and then joined Boy Scout Troop 1418. Both the Pack and Troop were sponsored by Ascension Roman Catholic Church. I held every leadership position that a boy could hold while a scout. I was elected to the Order of the Arrow and completed my ordeal at D-A Scout Ranch. In May of 1969, I achieved scoutings highest honor, Eagle Scout. Over the following 9 months, I earned 15 additional merit badges and went on to earn the Bronze, Gold, and Silver Palms.
When I became an adult, I enlisted into the U.S. Air Force and served for 20 years. I continued my scouting career as an adult in both the Transatlantic Council while stationed overseas in England and in the Baltimore Area Council where I am currently registered. I held every position available as an adult leader in Cub Scouting and Boy Scouts as well as the following other District level positions: Unit Commissioner, Assistant District Commissioner, Deputy District Commissioner, District and Council Merit Badge Cousellor, and District Cub Scout Training Staff. I have earned the following honors/awards:
In order they are: Eagle Scout, Arrow of Light, Cub Scouter Award, Cubmaster Award (New), Den Leader Award, Den Leader Coach Award, Webelos Den Leader Award, Tiger Cub Coordinator Award, Cubmaster Award (Old), Commissioner's Key, Distinguished Commissioner's Award, and Commissioner's Arrowhead Honor.
I am currently an Assistant Scoutmaster and Eagle Scout Advisor in Troop 851, Ellicott City, Maryland. I am also a Brotherhood Member of Nentico Lodge #12 of the Order of the Arrow. Click on the CSP on the left to view our Troop's private issue CSP.
