Front emblem
Approximate installation time: 10 minutes Take a hair dryer and heat up the front emblem attached to your car. As it gets warm, gently pull the emblem away from the body. The emblem is held on with body tape. You may need to use dental floss to "saw" around the tape to separate it from the body. Once off, clean any remaining tape residue with Goof Off or WD-40. Wash the area completely and let dry. Wipe with alcohol and let dry. Remove the 2 caps from the 2 prongs of the new emblem. If there are not the 2 matching holes in the body for the new emblem, use a Dremel tool to remove the 2 prongs from the new emblem making sure to smooth them out. Dry fit the emblem to make sure that everything looks good. Remove the backing from the tape and secure to the body making sure that it is right side up. Press and hold for about a minute working your way around the emblem. If there are 2 matching holes in the body for the new emblem, dry fit the new emblem to be sure the prongs meet up. Remove the backing from the tape and secure to the body. Press and hold for about a minute working your way around the emblem. Remove the protective cover over the emblem. |
