Types of Prayer
Adoration - Lifting up the heart and mind to God, and enjoying His presence
Praise - God draws us to Him as we worship Him in music and words
Thanksgiving - We thank God the blessings of this life, and for our redemption
Penitence - We confess our sins, with intention to amend our lives
Oblation - We offer ourselves to God for the purposes of God
Intercession - We intercede on behalf of the needs of others
Petition - We pray for our own wants and needs
Corporate Worship - We pray with others and celebrate the sacraments
