I guess I never got back to what I was typing there... Michael and I worked things out. He's not leaving me. But I learned a lot that day about myself, about Michael, and about our relationship. It reminded me that I cannot lose myself in him. I must continue to be me: strong, independent, resourceful, and self-sufficient.
I found something online today that really pushed my buttons. Most of the news I hear about is online now, since I rarely get to watch tv news anymore, and reading a newspaper is even more rare. So anyway, check out this photo and caption:
President George W. Bush departs on a trip to the Midwest and Louisiana January 14, 2002. Bush is sporting an abrasion he suffered after he choked on a pretzel, fainted and fell off a couch while watching a football game at the White House on Jan. 13. (Kevin Lamarque/Reuters)
Hello! Where was the Secret Service? Where were the Marines? They're supposed to be a breath away... and if I were passing out from choking, I'd at least bang on the coffeetable on my way down. You would think that if these security personnel heard anything unusual, they'd come rushing in...
Raise your hand if you believe this pretzel story.
I think it's just a bit twisted (pardon the pun).
Well, now I'm imagining all kinds of things about what could have happened, about how the President ended up looking so rough. Reminds me of the movie "Conspiracy Theory." Did you see that? Hmmm... Mel Gibson... yummy. Okay -- now I'm in a good mood! Gotta go! Have a great day!
