SORRY I'VE BEEN AWAY...

Hi everybody. I just wanted to tell everyone that I'm sorry there hasn't been a new column all summer, and that I haven't yet taken the time to post an apology or explanation. This has just been a very busy three months, what with a new children's book plus a new website plus a short film project in the pipeline. All of these things have been taking up my time and leaving me pretty darned exhausted. I know the column has a lot of fans and I'm sorry I haven't given you any new laughs this summer. But hey, it has been a nice brain-break not to have been watching Trinity so much lately.

But I am returning in September, for certain. And my next column will be all about the new big TBN movie, Megiddo, which opens theatrically September 21. TBN has even bigger plans for this film than they had for its prequel Omega Code, and they're of course hoping it will rake in millions of dollars as well as millions of souls for Jesus. So why then would producer Matt Crouch hire as Megiddo's director a man named Brian Trenchard-Smith, whose track record includes such direct-to-video exploitation schlockfests as the not-terribly-Christian Night of the Demons 2 and Leprechaun 4-In Space!? Find out the reason when I talk personally to a rep from 8X Entertainment, TBN's film production company!

Thought that would get you interested.... :-)

Go without gods,

Martin Wagner
