The International Federation of Karate (I.F.K.), as it is known in the Kyokushin world, was founded by Hanshi Steve Arneil (9° Dan), disciple of the Great Master Oyama, and the most representative of the style developed by Sosai Mas Oyama.
In the IFK, around Hanshi Steve Arneil, gathered countries from the five continents with the goal of promoting the Kyokushin Karate Style in the way it was conceived by its creator, with their technical fundamentals unchanged developed in the original katas created by Sosai Mas Oyama. Master Steve Arneil, was undoubtfully a priviledged witness of this creation.
Aims of the International Federation of Karate
1) To promote Karate on an International basis
2) To give an International identity to National Organizations
3) To establish a centre for the issue of International Dan Grade Certificates
4) In providing the above, still maintain the National Countries own independence, ideal and philosophy.
The I.F.K. logo has in it's center a wave
raising. This symbol was taken from Kata Saiha. The wave simbolize that no
matter how big is the task or problem one faces, with determination and
perserverance it is possible to overcome all obstacules.
The I.F.K. is founded in Argentina in 1994, by Sensei Julio César Romero (4º Dan).
