Utah

The American West Heritage Center
- The Living History Park and Center is situated in the lush Cache Valley in Northern Utah south of Logan.   Staff and Volunteers dress in period clothing at the Native American village, frontier town and mountain man rendezvous during special events.  Address: Wellsville (near Logan, UT) 1-800-225-FEST.

Temple Square
- Walk the pathway through beautiful beds in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. Surrounded by a large wall, Temple Square is the location of the Salt Lake Temple, Assembly Hall and the historical Tabernacle.  There are two buildings that house exhibits and where visitors can learn about the history and teachings of the LDS Church.   

Across the street from the west entrance to Temple Square, is the popular
Genealogical Library. Just next door and to the north is the Museum of Church History and Art.  Admission is free.  Hours: Monday thorugh Friday 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Satruday, Sunday and holidays from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.  Information: 801-240-3310.

Beehive and Lion House -  Across the street and east of Temple Square is the Joseph Smith Memorial Building (it use to be Hotel Utah) with a free (LDS) movie, genealogy center and a nice garden restaraunt on the top floor.  To the east is homes of Brigham Young, an early prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the first Territorial governor of Utah.  Free guided tours are available. 

Daughter's of the Utah Pioneer Museum - Main Street.  Lot's of history on the early Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake, exhibit cases, photographs, and historic artifacts.

Park City, Utah -   A noted skiing, historic and art town located about 30 miles east of Salt Lake City in the Wasatch mountains.
