                                       Columbia River - Celilo Falls
An early photography of the ancient Indian fishing grounds on the Columbia River at Celio Falls.  American Indians would gather to fish for salmon with  nets over the falls. The area was an important hub of trading between various tribes of the west.  Today the falls are gone, covered by the backwaters of theThe Dalles Dam.
