White Tiger aren't a seprate species of tigers. They are in fact Bengal tiger only white. They have blue eyes, pink noses, and chocolate colored stripes on pure white fur. White tigers aren't albinos eaither. Their coloring is caused bye a double dose of double recessive allele genes. Both tigers must have the white gene in order to have white kittens. Neither parent has to be white for this to occur.
It not very often you see a white tiger in the wild. In fact in the last 100 years only 12 have been seen in the wild. It was suggested that only 1 out of every 10,000 are born white. The only white tiger to be caught in the wild was a male name Mohan in 1951. He was orphaned as a cub and and later found. When he got older he then was mated with a female tiger but did not produce a single white kitten. He then was inbred with one of his offspring and produnced the very first litter of white bengal tigers.
