The Queensland Services Heritage Band Association in conjunction with the QSHBA’s Annual Regional Gold Coast Band Fest and with the generous support of the Gold Coast City Council has been awarded the rights to hold the Queensland State Brass Band Championships 2010 by the Queensland Band Association.

Dates:      Queens Birthday Long Weekend     Friday 11th – Monday 14th June 2010

Venue:    Gold Coast Arts Centre, 135 Bundall Rd, Surfers Paradise, QLD. 4217

Eligibility to enter:

Gold Coast Band Fest:

All and any Band and Musician is eligible to enter the Gold Coast Band Fest.

"The Gold Coast Band Fest" is open to any band, band member, school, student, individual musician, group of musicians or marching group and is not restricted to Queensland bands and/or musicians.

The Gold Coast Band Fest and the QSHBA actively encourage participation from any socioeconomic group and specifically has events for Persons with Special Needs. If an event is not available for your circumstances, please contact the administrators so we can possibly schedule an event that suits.

The Queensland State Brass Band Championships:

Specific eligibility to events of The Queensland State Brass Band Championship are under the control of the Queensland Band Association and can be found on the QBA website at QBA RULES.

"The Queensland State Brass Band Championships" are not restricted to Queensland Bands and/or Musicians and are open to any Band and their Members who are registered with a state or national band association.

 

The Gold Coast Band Fest. is administered by the QSHBA and is not affiliated with any specific band on the Gold Coast. The QSHBA does recognise and appreciate the valued assistance given to the Contest Committee by individual musicians on the Gold Coast and thanks them for their valued input. Please contact the QSHBA directly on any matter relating to the Gold Coast Band Fest and the 2010 State Brass Band Championships.
