| At 6:00 a.m. on September 29, 2004, we pulled our two big twins from the garage at Cornettsville, Kentucky into a brisk 52 degree morning. This was how we began our 500 mile journey to the Myrtle Beach Fall Rally. The first few hours didn't produce a whole lot of miles due to frequent coffee breaks. By the time we reached Spartanburg, SC (around mid-day), the temperature had climbed to the low 70s making the rest of our ride thoroughly enjoyable.
