The day started with a route march in full combat gear. This was followed by the Army Assault Coarse, which all the members managed to complete in good time. This was no time to have a fear of heights with the various high wires and rope ladders.
Following the assault course, the troops were given training in foot drill, marching and rifle drill. By the end of the day these troops would be able to drill with and without rifles to a very high standard.
Early the next morning, A patrol went out on exercise. For 2 hours the troops moved across the Dorset countryside, across field, over headgrow and into woodland. Scouts where sent out to recon the target area and then the troops where dispatched to take the objectives.
