Pfc Ben F. Strickland Jr.

My uncle, was in Company C, 16th Infantry Regiment was killed in action November 17, 1944 in the Hurtgen Forest as well as Captain Victor Briggs and six enlisted men. Lieutenant John Blair Beach was captured by the Germans and was in a prisoner of war camp until about April 1945. I have a copy of the "morning report" dated November 22 showing this. Ben was just a simple country boy doing his duty in the defense of freedom for the entire world. Campaigns included Sicily, France, Belgium.
I have reseached his life and have written a book
"Love always, Ben" and it can be reviewed from my website and purchased from me since they are not in book stores.
