Life at Valpo is an up and down ride that takes time to adjust to. This is a Picture of myself (on the left) & Justin, my roomate (on the right).
Justin Craker is from Superior, WI & is a All-Conference pitcher at Valpo. This summer he is pitching for the Mankato Mashers in the Northwoods League of Minnesota. Hey, that makes two All-Conference athletes, if only Valpo appreciated us...
My first two years at Valpo have gone pretty well. I'm proud to be a student-athlete and still have a 3.0 GPA in Civil Engineering at Valpo. The CE Department is very tough & combining that with swimming is very hard. I still really miss Arizona and the sunshine of home. I have enjoyed spending time in places around Valpo such as Madison and Chicago. I was luckly enough to go to a Bulls game to see Jordan and the team one final time. I also went to a Chicago Cubs game with a friend from Northwestern & saw Sammy Sosa hit huge HR in a win over Atlanta. Plus it was Cubs floppy hat day, quality!
So far the best thing in my 2 yrs at Valpo was watching the Men's Basketball Team in 1998 NCAA tournament set the nation on fire! Going to St. Louis and watching their Sweet 16 run is something I will always remember. Check out the page that relives it all:
