Armadillo

RIGV-04

The RIGV-04 is a fallow up to the popularity of the Doom Buggy series of vehicles. Like the Snail, the Armadillo is propelled by a rubber track system. A powerful electric motor powered by the nuclear power plant runs a hydraulic pump, the secret to the Armadillo's maneuverability. While not as fast as vehicles powered by a straight transmission system, the Armadillo can stop, and turn on a dime! Not only that, but it can drive in reverse just as fast as it can forward. This also allows the Armadillo to travel nearly silent, even at top speed. This unique design incorporates three cockpits. While it is normally driven by the pilot located in the front seat of the middle cockpit, it can be diverted to either of the three gunners in case of emergency. The wind shields are made of the same crystalline material used in the Alice and Doom Buggy’s. The rear also has enough room for six human sized passengers to sit comfortably on benches, three to four power armor troops, or equivalent cargo. Also, the benches double as weapons lockers and can easily fit six energy riffles and a dozen e-clips and grenades. In the alternative, mini-missiles can be stored in the locker.
The Armadillo, while designed to travel over ruff terrain has proven to handle snow with equal ease.

M.D.C. by Location:
*Rubber Tracks(2) -110
*Weapon Arms (2) - 70
Main Body - 525 <
Force Field - 120 (regenerates 2 M.D.C. per minute.)
* Note: The force field bust be depleted before any called shots can be made. Those indicated with a * are also -2 to strike

Statistical Data
Height: 10 feet 6 inches (3.22 meters)
Width: 7 feet 6 inches (2.3 meters)
Length: 20 feet (6.1 m)
Power System: Nuclear with an average life of 10 years.
Special Features: Radar with a 10 mile range, combat computer that can track up to 24 targets night vision (all displayed on windshields), and a long range radio. The computer can also recieve the 3D geographical mapping program for an extra 11,000 credits(has been updated to incluse the known areas of Canada.) Also, all weapon system are concealed, making it extreamly popular for those traveling through Coalition territory, who do not want to attract attention.
Market Cost: RIGV-04 sells for 12.7 million.
Weapon Systems:

1. Weapon Arms (2). Concealed behind doors located on the side of the weapons cockpit. These Vulcan style lasers are mounted on a robotic arm and can aim anywhere in front, to the side, and rear of the cockpit. Great for dispensing ground troops attempting to disable the tracks.
Damage: 1D4X10 M.D.
Range: 2000 feet(610 meters)
Payload: Unlimited
2. "Path Makers" (2). Located between the tracks at the front and the rear, these lasers pop down when needed and are controlled by the center gunner(seated behind the pilot). Everything in the weapons path must roll to dodge, or be hit. This weapon is very experimental, and so far the damage is not very impressive. However, it works well against natural obstacles and at least discourages troops from frontal assaults.
Damage: 2D4 M.D. to everything it hits(within range of the weapon, and in front of the Armadillo)
Range: 20 feet(6.1 meters)
Payload: Unlimited
3. Side mini-missle launchers. Disguised as air vents, these are controlled by the side gunners.
Damage: varies with missile type, can be replaced with smoke or gas canisters.
Range: one mile
Payload: X
4. Pop-up short range missle launchers. This launcher pops up from the rear section and is controlled by the center gunner.
Damage: varies with missile type,
Range: Varies
Payload: 10
5.RIW-25T. This is a version of the RIW-25 Shoulder Cannon modified to operate in a turret. As this is also located in the vehicles undercariage, it has a limited range of fire. It can rotate 20 degrees back and forth, but it is not able to aim up, making it only effective against ground targets. The other short coming is the reduced rate of fire. The cannon charges for approximately 4-5 seconds between blasts. However, if the operator is trained in weapon systems, they can take their time to aim, and deliver a super charged stream of particles against an opponent( +1 to strike). The cannon is operated by the center gunner.
Mega Damage: 1D6X10+10 M.D.
Rate of Fire: Only three per mele
Range: 3000 feet(915.5 meters)
Payload: Unlimited.
