Opel Live - motoring in a funny way
In Rüsselsheim, Germany where Adam Opel AG car factory has headquarters
the first Technological park was built with the purpose to entertain visitors
and to teach them at the same time – about the cars. The park which is called
Opel Live is offering interesting and exciting journey into the World of Cars,
especially domestic (Opel). The park is open every day. There are about 1,5
million visitors expected to come within next three years. In the project 120
million DEM have been invested, including high technology multimedia and
interactive performance installations. Opel Live in composed of three parts. The
visitors start their visit with “trip of senses”, then they continue to the hall
K48 where the factory was once and nowadays the cinema is where test crashes are
being shown in three dimensional technology. The most curious can experience
night trip with special effects, travel through the factory in these days or in
the past. The last part is a guided tour around the factory also supported with
audio-visual effects. Inside the campus there are also other facilities,
restaurant, cafe, shop, and conference rooms,and, besides, also Piazzo, about
thousand square metres of multi-purpose room. All is at disposal also to other
companies.
