In the eighties my children had been attending music school.
My son Tomaz was learning to play cello as primary instrument and piano as secondary.
My daughter Sergeja was learning to play violin and piano, too.
Since I can play piano, we occasionally gathered together and played in different combinations:
duos - cello and piano, violin and piano , and
trios - violin, cello and piano, violin, cello and guitar...
We played scores bought in music shops or those obtained in music school... Occasionally I put some music scores or arrangements (harmonies) of certain melodies on paper so that we had additional material for playing...
Sergeja and I were sometimes playing "Ave Maria" by J.S. Bach and C. Gounod, while Tomaz stood idle. So I decided to write a cello part for him. I have been working on it from May 26 to June 8, 1989.

So here is a piece I would like to share with you:

Artistic note
There are two possible ways of playing accompanying left hand in piano part: the semiquaver notes on first and third stroke are in some editions written as semibreves, for instance: Franz Kroll in "Das Wohltemperierte Klavier von Joh. Seb. Bach, No. 1a", edition C.F. Peters, Leipzig.
