Each year more than 3.500 people register for the courses at CIGS ("Italian
Centre for Safe Driving"), more than 2.000 salesmen and owners of the Alfa Romeo
offices attend the course. More than 20.000 fans of sports & safety driving
participate at the weekend "test- drive". To fulfil growing demands for safety
of the drivers, the Italian Centre for Safe Driving proposes new objectives and

3rd World Show of Automobile Design at Torino
Around 37% of cars running all over the globe, are backed in one way or
another, by Italian designers, which usually work in Torino or its surroundings.

Alfa 166 enters market in autumn
Alfa 166 is called the new model that will be on sale from the end of the
September and will complete, to the apex, the renewal of the Alfa Romeo models.
4.72 meters long and 1.81 m wide Alfa 166 has the prestige, comfort and
the equipment of a great sedan of the E class; integral but with the sport
temperament of all the Alfa Romeos. The design is fluent and expresses the
harmony of the shapes and the contents. The solid and muscular line gives
immediately the impression of an authoritative car, robust, firmly berthed to
the ground.

100th International auto show in Paris
More than five quarters of a Million people visited the Paris 98 Auto Show. Considering the fact that in the year 1997 the total of 35,520,460 new personal and 16,659,296 new trucks have been registered World-wide, are you still astonished at that?
Ferrari's profit has doubled
Italian Ferrari has accumulated profit as high as 49 million USD
(taxes not deducted) the year 1998, which is ttwice as much as in 1997. Total
sales reached 645 million USD (564 millions in 1997). Most of the profit is
going to be spent for improvement of another sports car manufacturer in
Fiat trust – Maserati (which should be accomplished in next 3
years).
