There will be more said about them in the next two sections.
I have done a lot of research on the "ACHESON CLAN" and below are some of the things we know about them from the time they were back in Scotland.
That is what you will find below.

I. JOHANNES ACHINSOUNE, of Drumtennend, Scotland
appears in about 1450 as first recorded Acheson. He was
known to have had three sons. We have no information
on the other two, but do on the 3rd one.
II. His 3rd son was Henry Aichensoune who lived in
Edinburgh, Scotland in 1492 but died before 6 Oct 1492.
He was married to Margaret Barnat by whom he had one son
George.
III. George Achinsoune, b. ??? . m. Elizabeth Dunlop,
died in 1530. They had one son named William.
IV. William Achinsone, of Edinburgh, b.??? m.
Margaret Rankyn, d. 1540 or 1541. They had three sons.
V.(1) John b. 1499
V.(2) George b. 1500 (below)
V.(3) David b. 1503.V.(2) George (above) Achesone of Edinburgh, b. 1500, m.
12 Sept. 1529 to Marian Throupe. They had one son named
Alexander.
VI. Alexander Achesone 1st of Preston and then
Edinburgh, b.???, m.5 May 1557 to Isabel Grey, daughter
of Patrick Grey. We know little about Alexander and his
wife Isabel but we do know they had two sons
Patrick and John, however there could possibly be more.
VI.(1) Patrick Acheson, b.23 Feb 1558, m. 17 Nov 1579
Edinburgh, Martha Drummond, daughter of Archibald
Drummond. He was made a Captain, we know not why. But
Captain Patrick died in Ireland in 1617. They had
two sons Archibald and Henry. They moved to Ireland to
occupy land granted by the British Crown to Sir
Archibald and Sir Henry. Henry later sold his lands
to his brother Archibald and returned to Scotland

VI.(2) John Acheson (son of Alexander and Isabel Grey
(Acheson)b. 19 Apr 1559 in Edinburgh, Scotland, m. 12
Jan 1581, Margaret Blackaddre, daughter of William
Blackaddre. d. 1588. They had two sons William and John.VII.(A)William Acheson, b.27 Nov 1582. All we know
of him is that he "lost his sword" about 1622 according
to the Patent and Close Rolls of 1629.VII.(B) John Acheson, b. 11 Sept 1583, m. Katherine
Gilmour of Glassdrum, Argyleshire, 18 June 1619.
In 1636 they moved to Ireland and settled at Market
Hill, County Armagh, not far from cousins Sir Archibald
and Sir Henry. They had two sons and the oldest of the
two sons came with them while the young one stayed back
in Scotland. There were two sons:VIII.(1) George Acheson, b. 3 Apr 1620 (of which more
below).
VIII.(2) David Acheson, b. 12 Mar 1621, David is the
one who remained in Scotland.____________________________

John and Katherine Acheson,) m. 6 Sept 1644 to Johanna
Orr, d. 4 June 1666 in Ireland. They had two sons.IX.(a) James Acheson, of Market Hill b. 19 June 1645

IX.(b) George Acheson, b. 21 Mar 1646, m. 10 Dec 1667
to Sarah Wolley. We do not know what happened to him or

XI.(1) Thomas Acheson, b. 19 Mar 1700; m. 3 May 1721
to Elizabeth Goff. He died 18 Sept 1741. They had four
children: Thomas, Elizabeth, George and ThomasXII.(A) Thomas Acheson, b. Feb 1722 (died in
childhood).
XII.(B) Elizabeth Acheson, b. 13 Dec 1722, m. 9
May 1740 John Cory.
XII.(C) George Acheson, b. 16 Feb 1724, m. 3 June
1754 to Elizabeth Weir. They had three
children: George,John and ThomasXIII.(1) George Acheson b. 12 Mar 1755, came to the US and
returned to Ireland, unmarried.__________________
XIII.(2) John Acheson b. 14 Jan 1756, m. 3 May 1782 to
Maria Hogg. He died in Washington Co, Pennsylvania
in 1790-1791. They had two daughters, Jane and
Hannah.
XIII.(3) Thomas Acheson, b. 13 July 1758 moved to the
Washington Co, Pa. He had four children:
David, Hannah, Ellen and William.
XII.(D) Thomas Acheson b. 11 Jan, 1725, m. 13
Dec 1749 to Elizabeth, (daughter of James
Farrell). They had two daughters;
XIII.(1) Elizabeth Acheson b. 21 Sept 1750
XIII.(2) Sarah b. 2 July 1751.XI.(2) David Acheson, b. 3 Jan 1701, m. 4 May 1729 to
Elizabeth, daughter of John and Abigil(Murphy)
Milliken and they emigrated to Middle Patent,
Connecticut with her parents the Murphy family.
XI.(3) Matilda Acheson, b. 19 July
1702, m. James Patterson of Dunluce and stayed in Ireland.
