| Why Purple Flames? Purple (or lavender) is internationally recognised at the representitive colour for GLBTI people. (and I have an obsession with the colour) Flames because even when society steps on our human rights and our dreams, there is a flame inside all of us that they can never extinguish. |
| Hi, my name is Cindy (aka.Purple) I created this site in 1998, although based at a different web-address. At this time I was begining to come to terms with the fact that I am a lesbian. I would scan the Internet for hours at a time trying to find sites that I could totally relate to, and that had all the information I wanted, or at least access to it, in one place. While there are many excellent sites for GLBTI people on the web, there were none that I felt suited my needs and wants. So there you have it.
