To Remain in Your Heart...

To My Kiss of Moon Light Dreams

By Roxana Reyes Santos

I can tell myself
I was only dreaming
In the arms of the clouds...
That you were my moon light kiss
brushing my skin
with the taste of your lips...

I can tell myself
to stop dreaming at once,
to leave my naked breasts,
naked of heart beats,
empty, completely dry...

At times I wish
I could become a shadow,
to swiftly, quietly travel
through my blue mountains,
feeling the waterfall
falling over my forehead,
not feeling cold, neither warm,
not feeling loneliness,
not wanting anyone
or anything...

At times I dream of flying,
the taste of death on golden worlds,
the taste of childhood wonders,
and peaceful walks...

I tell myself
you are the mirror of my thoughts,
a dream of far away winter lands,
a dream I can't reach,
a dream I'll die for...

I can tell myself
that I love no one
but it would be a lie
for my heart would speak the truth...
Oh my beloved kiss
of moon light dreams.

To my beloved Patrick...
