| Nala's Life Story |
| So, do you want to hear the whole, complete story of my life up until now? Here you go! I was born of the lioness Sarafina and a rogue lion named Azrel. My mother met him when she was in exile. I was born approximately two weeks after Simba. I'll never forget the day we met. My mother Sarafina woke me up from my nap(I was a little more than a baby) one day and told me that I was going to meet another lion cub. I was excited, so I went with Mom over to a lioness with something in her paws. "Sarabi," Mom said. "Nala would like to see Simba." Sarabi smiled and looked at me. "Of course. Come here, Nala. Come see your new friend." she said. I walked over and sniffed the small cub. He was about my size. Then I looked up at Sarabi. "His name is Simba," she told me. "I'll wake him up so he can meet you. Simba! Wake up! We have company." The cub opened his eyes and stared at me. He was kind of cute! I smiled and said, "Sim-ma!" Mom and Sarafina laughed. Simba climbed out of his mother's paws. "That's Nala," Sarafina said. "Can you say 'Nala'?" Simba looked at me. "Na-lya! Na-lya plyay!" He shouted. Then he pounced on me! I flipped him onto his back. "Pinn-a!" I told him proudly. Little did I know, that at that very moment, Mufasa had walked into the room and had seen us playing so happily. He, Mom, and Sarabi all agreed that Simba and I would be married some day! After that day, Simba and I played together almost every day. When we couldn't play outside, we thought of games to play in the cave. One of the funniest was going about the caves and trying to make other pride members laugh. We made the mistake of trying to tickle Scar! It was hilarious how we got Mufasa to laugh! He told us that one day we would be married, and we jumped away from each other. One day Simba couldn't play because he was taking the grand tour of the Pride Lands with his dad. I often wished my dad could be here with me. But Mufasa treated me like his own, so I was pretty happy! Anyway, I went outside Pride Rock trying to catch a butterfly. By midmorning I was very dirty, so Mom started giving me a bath while having a conversation with Sarabi. After a while Sarabi fell asleep. Then I saw Simba come bounding up. "Hey Nala!" He said. I could tell he was excited about something. "Hi, Simba," I answered. Simba asked me to go to a cool place with him. It sounded great, but I was busy. "Simba, I'm kind of in the middle of a bath," I told him. Then Sarabi woke up and grabbed Simba and started bathing him. When I was done my bath, I asked my mom if I could go with Simba. She looked up and said,"What do you think, Sarabi?" Simba and I turned toward Sarabi. "Pleeeaase!" we begged. Sarabi permitted us to go if we took Zazu with us. We very reluctantly agreed. On the way, Simba told me that we were actually going to an elephat graveyard. That sounded cool! We both thought of a plan to get rid of Zazu while also having tons of fun. So, Simba(with my help) sang about his future reign as King. Finally, we escaped. But then Simba called himself a genius and that he was the one that lost Zazu. Um, some credit, please! I was annoyed at him. He challenged me by pouncing on me. 'I'll show him!' I thought. I flipped him onto his back. "Pinned ya!" I said a very surprised Simba. When I let him up, he pounced on me again, so I wrestled back and we tumbled down a cliff. Simba struggled, but I pinned him again. Suddenly hot steam shot out of the ground. We had made it to the elephant graveyard! "It's really creepy," I said. "We could get in big trouble." Simba just laughed, so I said, "I wonder if its brains are still in there." But befor we could find out, Zazu appeared. He said we must leave at once. Simba said, "I walk on the wild side. I laugh inthe face of danger. Ha ha ha ha!" |
