My latest Disneyland painting completed April 17th 2005.
Here are some small detail areas to show it's complexity.
A pirate painting completed January 10th, 2005.
This piece was completed February 16th, 2004.
This piece is one of my favorites. It was completed on October 22nd, 2002.
This next one is of Walt again, this time with my son Alex. Alex spent 2 years
in Adventureland as an attractions host. His favorite duty was the Jungle Cruise.
This piece was sort of a warm up for the first one.
This is one I just completed for my grandchild, who is due in January.
It is untitled.
This last entry has to be my favorite.
You are the
Titled, "Main Street USA" 24x46" A tribite to the most famous Main Street in the world. There are over 20 "Hidden Mickeys"* in the painting. Most of them are visible in the picture.
*the familar 3 circle configuration (head and ears) that resembles Mickey Mouse's
I concider this painting as one of my masterpieces. The crude jpg does not do it justice.

Did you notice tink? How about the big green tree to the right of Tink? Look carefully..... It's a hidden Mickey!
The clouds surrounding the castles are all Mickeys! I put 12 real life portraits in this painting. I am the man in white.
A spilled drink glistens in the half light.
Titled, "Auction" 12"x24". A tribite to one of the most memorable scenes of any Disneyland attraction.

Titled "Cascade Peak"
Sadly of the 3 main focal points only one remains at Disneyland.
The "Mine Train through Nature's Wonderland" was replaced in 1978.
Casdcade Peak was torn down around 2002. Only the Mark Twain remains

I
titled it "Old Friends"
Sadly, it is based on the last picture taken of the
two of them together, only weeks before Walt's death in 1966
It is aptly titled
"Fantasy in the Sky"
This piece is surprisingly loose
in the rendering. I attempted to put only fine detail within the center of
the image. The remaining 80% of the painting was done in less vibrancy and
detail. This makes the eye focus on the center figure. Disneyland was always
an important factor in my life. I owe so much to the Magic Kingdom. So many
fine memories and milestones were brought to flower there. The two figures
flanking the boy need no introduction, the center figure is my son, Aaron "Alex"
Jacob Elkin. .
