| The Purpose of This Site What we here at the Polyamorous Pagan seek to do is to raise awareness, of both the Poly communities as well as the Pagan communities. While these two communities are aware of one another, we have only found a few websites that directly seek to link the two into a harmonious whole. Thanks to this site, this is changing. Remember that we are powerful individuals, especially in America. We have the right to vote for our leaders. We personally view voting as a responsibility, rather than a right. When G.W. Bush was elected in 2000, we saw that without complete participation, things can go haywire and the results may not be what you want. So get off your ass and register to vote, and when it comes time to vote, do so! We don't think that Christians are out to get us. Sure, we continually butt-heads with one another over little and big issues. We probably won't ever be friends. But that doesn't mean we can't tolerate one another. What we need to do is the various pagan communities and the various Christian communities need to get together and agree to disagree. Then we need to leave one another alone. Its just that simple. Justice will always win out in the end. While we are promoting getting along with other religions, we also need to keep vigilant when it comes to our own. People have lost jobs, homes and even family because of pagan beliefs. Pagans are frequently told to remove their symbols of faith in school, which is quite illegal. If one faith (Christian, Jewish, etc) can show their symbols, so can we. Keep alert for your personal freedoms. It was once said by Edmund Burke that "The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing." So what are we trying to promote here? We think you get the idea. Above all, be good to each other. |
