If Heaven were not a promise to me,
I would serve.
If glory never to be,
For in Him alone my heart rejoices.
In Him alone brave and true.
To Him alone my allegiance.
Not in gold, silver, jewels, and promise.
For my heart soars at His pleasure.
He is the reason for my allegiance.
Not security fair.
Nor hands of plenty.
But who He is is my reason.
He is my reward.
