RETAIL BUSINESS OWNER: Owned 3 gift shops within a 50 mile radius of my farm in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Responsibilities included: market research - buying from trade centers in Chicago, Atlanta and New York - keeping shops that were aesthetically pleasing - hiring personable employees and keeping impeccable books. Sold all 3 businesses to devote full time to teaching.

DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY - WES PHOTOGRAPHICS: worked a network of  13 computers to scan film, manipulate photographs, and build materials associated with school photography business. This position required an incredible amount of personal stamina as during the peak season I trained assistants and supervised the entire digital department. During off season, I handled the department by myself.

GRAPHIC ARTIST: 1975-1987  Supervisor of Art Department in large Print Shop in Mountain Home Arkansas. Duties included: train and supervise departmental employees - all phases of graphic layout and design, typesetting, and direct client contact.
