After the destruction of the protoculture matrix, a direct result of the conclusion of the 2nd Robotech War,
the seeds of the Invid Flower of Life are dispersed throughout the Earth. The Invid Sensor Nebula detects this
and relays the new source of energy back to th Regis. Soon, the Invid are racing across the galaxy to attain their
preciuos Flower and soon descend upon Earth. The weary army of the Souther Cross, after just defeating the Robotech
Masters, are no match or the savage Invid. Within days the Armies of the Southern Cross are desimated, and the
human population enslaved.
Admiral Hunter sends part of the Robotech Expeditionary Force (REF) to recapture Earth from the Invid. This segment , the Mars Division,
soon learns that they are no match for the Invid. The entire attack wing, accept for one lone survivor, is decimated before
even reachin the surface of the Earth. Scott Bernard survives, barely, and takes it upon himself to complete the mission of
reaching Reflex Point and destroying the Regis.
