Fernando, my partner since 1992, is a physician specialized in Radiology.
6 years ago we started to visit dog shows and, at one show, we saw Ch. Tomho Champagne Wishes, who was in Brazil. We were completed thrilled by him! I never thought could be a most beautiful thing in the World...
Well, we decided we had to have one. Then, we got our first pom, Brian, a white male who turned to be a wonderful pet. Then we had our first show pom, Brazilian breed, a daughter of Glen Iris Indiana Jones, Lolita of Love Blue.
We want more quality (Lolita's mother is a brazilian bitch who is very "spitz type") so we started searching a really good pom for show. We were very lucky to find a beautiful exemplar, Starfire's Jo Robin, a three-pound son of Ch. Starfire's I'm Too Sexy. After that we acquired Fábio ( Starfire's Supar Rocky), our first BIS winner and a wonderful pom and Starfire's Evita, two pounds of pure energy and soundness ( she is a group winner). Then we got BiMar's Partytime, the most short backed bitch, extremely sound, that we had ever seen and Starfire's Priscila (a gorgeous red bitch who HATES the ring...). Tony and Fabian (Starfire) were always wonderful with us, and we were very lucky to have begun with their poms!
By a coincidence we went in touch with Sharon Masnick and Benson Ray, from Golden Aires and Benray's Poms, who offered us one of their top specials, Ch. Benray's Masterpiece. We were thrilled because we admired Masters since a young puppy showed in The Pom Reader, in a kennel visit to Benray's. The arrangements were done and we became co-owners of Masters until Westminster 1997, when we took him to come with us to Brazil, then as the owners.
One of my great emotions is had showed Masters at Westminster. We 'd just met one day before but he showed surprisingly well with me!
Sharon and Benson are great people, very supportive and concerned with their dogs. We had been very lucky with the people we got our dogs. We also got Nikita from them, who is just beautiful.
Them came the Dupre's poms - we always loved their type and Ch. Dupre's Sparkling Gold Casino is a favorite of us. We were fortunate to get Dupre's Sparkling Gold Brandy ( He is a group placer, winner's dog at a National Specialty and only needs singles to finnish). He is the most extraordinarily compact pom we ever saw, with a wonderful head, beautiful red color and posty legs. He also has an extraordinary temperament and will be really an asset to our breeding program. And the dream team; Joker, a Casino's son, Patricia (Casino's half sister) and Genie (also very close related to Casino). Joker X Genie already gave us our astonishing little girl, AleFer's Little Lulu.
Then went the Pekingeses. I always loved this ancient breed so, in a trip to England last year, we visited Mrs. Vandella Willians, a wonderful lady, very helpful, who sold us Renwar's Mystyc Moonlight at Toydom - "Gabriel", a black with silver trim peke, with a beautiful expression and conformation. He is a son of Eng. Ch.Nowai's Harvey Moon.
Gabriel won several group placements and finished his Brazilian championship but he really hates to show.
Then, last May 1997, through a great friend of us, Wagner Fernandes and his wife, Pat Keen, we got Am. Ch. Denlar's Imperial Crown - "PJ", a multi group winner in USA and in the top 15 - 1996. PJ was as wonderful as we could dream and, his first time out here in Brazil, he won two Best In Show and a Reserve Best In Show. Those first two were with Mrs. Carla Molinari, from Portugal, who is a World well respected judge and with Mr. Carlos Gamarra, from Uruguay. The next week he won two more BIS!!! Unfortunelly he suffered a very serious case of Intervertebral Disk Disease, and died. By this time he was the Top Toy Dog here in Brazil, with an amazing record in just 4 months of showing.
We have a beautiful bitch, Ch. Harcum's Summer Song, who was being show in USA by Pat Keen. She was Best of Winners at a Specialty in Washington, with only 7 months old, and finished when 8 months old. He has many BOB wins and made the final cut in San Francisco. She went BOS at the National, Westminster, Progressive Toy Specialty and Pekingese Club of New Jersey Specialty in 1998! She is the proud mother of our second litter (and now a grandmother !).
We also had bring to Brazil, from South Africa, a BIS winner, English import, peke, top peke 1996 and 1997 and #5 dog - all breeds, South African Ch. Kushan's Teeze Me for Delwin. We met his father, Eng. Ch. Another Tze Me for Delwin, in England when we were visiting Vandela Willians (Toydom) and Grace Godwin (Delwin), and were completed impressed by him. We also met his half brother at Westminster, BIS, BISS Am. Ch. Taloola Mr. Dream Maker for Delwin, our all time favorites... "Mike" is astonishing beautiful, resembling his half brother very much. His head is a masterpiece, he is short, compact, small, low to the ground with lots of correct textured coat and with a superb movement.
Then came Thunder, the best black pekingese we ever met, a BISS and Multi Group Winning Peke in USA, and father of our first litter, that are making their debut in the ring in September 98.
Finnaly we were luck to purchase Thumper, also a Group winning in USA, and #3 Peke at the time of his purchase. He is the Top winning Peke of all times in Brazil, with 23 Best In Shows. He finished 1999 as the Top 3rd Dog in the Country, and is a contender for the top spots in 1999.
Update: our dream came true; the most beautiful dog in the World - Dreamer (Taloola Mr Dream Maker For Delwin) is now in Brazil with us. We would always thank Pat Harrison for trusting us to continue her breeding program! We also have a granddaughter and a grandson of him over here (Showtime Jazz and Showtime Cinema), and I'm sure that he represents a turning point in our breeding program and lives as well! We could'nt be happier!
We are firm believers that our dogs must run free and have the opportunity to make a social hierarchy like the social animals they are. We cannot understand why so many people who say that loves their dogs keep then in cages with no social interaction, like plants that you only have to give food and water... (Even plants seem to enjoy a little talk...). Ok, we have more work with the coat care, but all our dogs are happy, socialized, housebroken and truly our friends!
Thank you to share a little of our history. We hope you enjoy our Site!
