Relive Brendan's
SECOND stab at hosting SNL, which took place on February 13,
1999.
His first time,
October 18, 1998, will get its own page once I locate more pictures
from his skits.
Thank you Thank you
Thank you! to SNL
InfoMedia, the source
of these here pictures.
Monologue
Brendan
greets the crowd, then finds himself caught in a time warp
with Tom Davis and Lorne Michaels
Judge Judy
As a Bruce
Springsteen impersonator whose voice was ruined by
supposedly-leaky helium tanks, Brendan spoke with this Alvin
and the Chipmunks affectation. He didn't even need helium to
do it; what a guy!
Charlie Brown
Poor Charlie
ends up with a grisly head injury after Lucy steals the ball
once again just before he attempts to kick it. Great line by
Lucy-- "I'm not a doctor! That was just a scam to get
nickels!"
Two Fat Ladies
Brendan and
Darrell Hammond make two very sexy tubby English tv cooks.
The best part of the skit: Brendan eats a rice cake made
entirely out of bacon grease. "Here's to
angioplasty!"
Last Call
Brendan (sporting his
Toronto Maple Leaf jersey in honor of the closing of Maple Leaf
Gardens) says goodbye with musical guest Busta Rhymes, John Goodman,
and a few other guys who I am unable to identify. He took the time to
thank Tom Davis, Lorne Michaels, George Plimpton (who appeared in a
sketch not shown here), John Goodman, and the cast of SNL; wish Bill
Condon, Lynn Redgrave, and Ian McKellen good luck at the Academy
Awards; and tell Afton "I love you!"

episode with Busta Rhymes, visit
his page at Saturday-Night-Live.com! Unlike me, they're a hardworking group who
describe all of his sketches.
