Electric Powered Flight

Speed 400 Pylon Racing - Here is my latest Speed 400 Pylon design the Apex. All composite utilizing an extruded foam wing glass covered. The fuselage is glass, and carbon built using a positive mold technique I have developed. The tail feathers ar balsa covered with monokote. All up weight is 16 ounces using a Hitec 555 Rx, two Hitec HS60 servos, and a 7 cell 500 AR pack. Quite fast, and a lot of fun to fly!!

Another view of the Apex Pylon Racer. Notice the NACA cooling intake and the Hoehner tips. They make it look faster, don't you think?? I have to use any means to psych out the competition!!

In this view you can see the placement of the aileron servo on the lower surface of the wing, and the aileron linkage. In the fuselage you can see the elevator servo, and the speed control. Beside the fuselage is a 7 cell 500 mah AR pack....
