Feeding (Sanguinarian Vampires)

Right, so you've found a donor, had them screened at a clinic and they checked out fine. What next?

First, you need to decide which method you're going to use.
Lancets give less blood, but are ideal when you're new to the feeding thing or your donor is scared of cuts.
Simply poke, squeeze and you're on your way.
Razor or craft blades are more dangerous, but if you are careful, they're fine. Ensure
that the blade is sterile and sharp. Wipe the area you plan to cut with a disinfectant pad, then make
a short, shallow incision away from any major bloodvessels. Cut in the direction of the muscle to
prevent scarring. Squeeze the area until the blood is visible, then suck gently (don't bite!)
Some prefer to make small X-shaped cuts as they bleed for longer. Practice rudimentary first aid when
you're done.
The last method is extracting the blood using a needle, although you should NEVER attempt this unless
you have been trained in phlebotomy.

Remember, the experience should be enjoyable not just for you, but also for your donor. If they are
nervous, let them make the wound themselves. Explaining what exactly you're going to do might also help.
You'd be surprised how nervous someone can get if they don't know what's going to happen!

Lastly, once you start feeding, it can be VERY hard to stop. Try to remember that your donor
is a person too, not just a piece of meat. Stop before you harm them, they are more precious than gold.
