While browsing certain vampire sites on the net chances are good that you'll
come across at least one set of " Royals ", vampires who claim to be
better/older/faster etc. than others, because they are descended from the
first vampires or some such lark. Okay, some of these sites are RPG sites,
but some claim to be 100% true, which is very sad, because many newly
awakened vamps believe that this is how vampirism works.

Let's get a few things straight. Sure, some vampires have formed societies
where each member has a rank, and that's fine - because they equate rank with
experience and elders generally try to help the younger members.
Some vampires, however, would have you believe that we are organised into
specific ranks based on how " pure " our blood is or some other rubbish
like that, which is simply not true. They only wish to gain self-gratification
by having others refer to them as masters/royals/lords or whatever. You will
soon notice that these people are always the highest rank and insist
that they are better than you are, and that you should respect them
on principle

So, if you come across these people, take what they say with a grain silo
full of salt and remember that you are just as important an individual as
they are.
