The Donor/Vampire Relationship
This can be one of the best, most rewarding relationships in your life.
The only problem is that sometimes the donor or the vampire oversteps certain bounds,
which negatively affects the relationship. Most times this results in a breakdown
of trust, and mutual trust is the most important element of these relationships.
Firstly, here are some rules for the vampire:
Never misuse your donor. Get to know them as people before you start
feeding from them.
If they don't want it to be intimate, don't force it to be.
Put their health first, no matter how Hungry you are. Enough is enough.
Listen to them. If they have a problem, you have a problem.
Always have your donor tested for diseases - you can never be too careful!
Secondly, here are some rules for the donor:
- Never reveal your status as a donor, or the vampire you donate to.
- Keep yourself healthy.
- Talk to them if you have any problems.
- If they ask you to go for tests, it's not cause they don't trust you,
it's just to ensure your safety, and theirs.
- NEVER try to convince them to "turn" you.
I hope these ground rules will enhance the relationship you have with your donor,
and prevent unecessary conflict.
