BloodThirst

thirst uncontrollable
water me down still it is not quenched
redness I see behind closed eyes
what is this thing that plagues me
on the wind an irresistible scent catches me
a longing for which I do not understand
following it closely I come to its source
fallen and bleeding she sits there nursing a hurt knee
pick up the bike and stand it upright let me see your boo-boo
ah this is what I seek
let me kiss it away
there there let me lick it a little more
sweetest taste ever
a little is not enough but i can sense her fear and I pull away
she rides off I restrain myself from following
knowing suddenly what has become me
awakened I go home and ponder my fate
curious as to what sweet feasts will come my way
the night is risen and I rise with it
seeking in the night the blood which will feed my thirst
