Pepper Steak Ingredients:

  • 1 pound steak sliced thinly across the grain
  • 1 green pepper cut into strips (or may substitute one of the following: snow peas, broccoli, celery and mushrooms)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 2 tablespoon cooking oil

    Marinade
  • 2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted and crushed into paste

Mix marinade ingredients and marinate beef for 30 minutes. Heat a heavy skillet over medium high heat. Add oil and heat skillet to almost smoking point. Brown garlic in oil and set aside. Saute sliced peppers in hot oil until slightly cooked and set aside. Brown meat in pan, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Mix garlic and sauteed pepper with beef in the pan, stir to mix well. Remove and Serve!
