Beef and Bean Bake Ingredients:
for the crumble topping:
Lightly fry the onion in the hot fat for about five minutes to soften.
Add the stewed steak, baked beans, mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Bring slowly to the boil, stirring only to blend the ingredients.
Pour the mixture into a casserole dish.
Prepare the crumble topping by rubbing the fat into the flour to make a crumb mixture. Add the grated cheese and mix lightly in with a fork.
Sprinkle the crumble over the bean mixture and place the casserole in the centre of a hot oven (Gas 6 / 200 ºC / 400 ºF). Bake for 30 minutes until the top is crisp and the contents bubbling hot.
Serve with peas and grilled tomatoes.
