I had breast reduction
surgery at the end of April, 2000. During my recovery period, my
mother took time out from caring for her own mother to care for
me. So I decided to put some extra effort into thanking her, by
customizing a doll for her. Mom has always admired my doll
collection, but has never dived into collecting herself.
I used a Pearl Beach Teresa
as the base doll. I quickly sewed up the outfit from a pattern,
and also quickly did the hairstyling as face painting. I'd
decided to do the doll with a week to go!
Mom was very surprised and
pleased with the doll! Here she is:
