My Faith

Most of you coming here already know of my beliefs and my faith.

For those of you who do NOT, I am Pagan. Pagan, in my definition, being one who practices a faith of earth-based beliefs.

Please come to and leave here with an open heart and an open mind. I will explain a bit about Paganism to you, as I know it to be. Every pagan you talk to will give you a different definition of the word, and a different definition of the differences between the various pagan traditions. So, for the moment, I will simply tell you I'm pagan, then we'll go from there.

And under paganism comes many branches. The same as Christianity has many branches. Christians have Lutheran, Methodist, Catholic, Baptist, Mormon, Jehovah's Witness, etc. Pagans have Wiccans, Witches, Druids, Asatruars, Gardnerians, Shamans, etc.

And on this note, I am Wiccan. Wiccan, also, has many definitions for many people. For me, Wicca is a spiritual thing. It is the belief in, worship of, and love for the Goddess. For some it is the Goddess and the God. For some it is one universal deity. For others it is many. The Correllian Tradition explains deity as being like a diamond. Universal deity is the stone itself. The many facets are the many faces of deity - each individual, but still part of the one. This concept is one that works best for me, as I have felt that way for a great many years. But it does not necessarily fit for everyone.

And this, my friend, is one of the beautiful things about Paganism. There is no right or wrong in one's beliefs. There is no one true deity, as deity comes to one in whatever form that person needs it to be.

And now I move on. I also consider myself a Witch.

And now I must pause to explain. Not all Wiccans consider themselves a Witch. Not all Witches consider themselves a Wiccan. Some find the words to be synonymous. Some do not. I am one who does not, at least for my own personal definition. To me (for me - in my opinion) a Witch is one who works with the powers in nature to achieve something. Not all Wiccans do this. But all Witches do. Whether it be with spells, herbal work, stones, etc.

At this point, one might ask themselves "Is she a good witch or a bad witch?" Well, I guess you would say a good witch, though I would not. For any true witch works only for good, and never for bad. Which brings us to the Wiccan/Witch's Rede.

"An it Harm None, Do as Ye Will"

This means, in whatever you do, strive to be sure that no one and no thing is harmed. This includes yourself.

"Ever Mind the Rule of Three,
What Ye Send Out Comes Back to Thee"

The Law of Return. Sometimes called the Three-Fold Law. It basically means, whatever you do will be returned to you three times over. Whether good or bad. Therefore, why send out bad energy?

And one more thing I must add. Whether pagans, wiccans, witches, or whatever other name we may call ourselves, we are NOT satanists. We do not worship Satan. We do not even BELIEVE in Satan. Satan is a Christian concept, created (in my opinion) for an excuse as to why people do bad things. I take responsibility for my own actions. The Deities I worship are loving, caring, nurturing God/desses.

Below are a few links to things related. Please visit these pages, read through them, and form your own opinion. Please do not send me mail flaming my beliefs, as I would not do so to you. If you do not agree with my beliefs, that is fine. I may not agree with all of yours. And that is the beauty of life. The many differences we have.

Have you ever wondered . . .
If "God" made the heavens and the Earth and all the creatures on the Earth . . . and if "God" made Adam and Eve . . . and Adam and Eve bore children . . . who did their children mate with and bare children with? Supposedly there were no other people.

This was a question I had through most of my years of "attempting" Christianity. A question no one seemed to have an answer to. Well, through the loveliness of the internet, I found the answer one day. And it resides in the book of Genesis, in the Christian Bible. I found the answers in an articl entitled "We are the Other People".

Many of you, Pagan and Christian alike, may find this article of interest. If you would like to check it out, please click one of the two buttons below. (Same article, two different sites.)
