Wildflowers Investiture
It was a warm but rainy day when i arrived at the boat center. We had planned to go kayaking and the rain wouldn't stop us. We waited for Busby, Rose Red and Tweety to arrive. Quikitty was already there and I helped her unlode the Kayaks ready for the evening's events. We got changed into our wet suits and chose our life jackets. We also had two other pewople joining us that nigth, my mother and my old guide leader. Once all of us were ready to go we grabbed the kayaks and headeed for the calm sea. The sea was calm but the currents were strong and i was paddling 3 strokes on the right to 1 on the left just to travel in a straight line. 20 mins later we reached our destination, Watchmans Rock. We lannded and seaqrched for a suitable place to be invested. I cose the top of the rock. We madde a short climb to the top, us younger ones helped the others up the verticle rock face. (The rock isn't made of rock it's made of mud and clay.)
Once at the top we stood in the ranger V with Quikitty at the front. I was asked to come forward and receive my badge but first i had to say my promise. I did and I got my badge, but Quikitty had a suprise for me, she had made a woozle and a ranger like me from beads. We took in the view before climbing down back to our kayaks. We kayaked to the Harbour bridge before heading back to shore. Once in shallow water we disembarked our kayaks. My mum was having trouble so I tried to help but accidentally tipped her out. Once i dry land we cleanned up and put everything away.
This was a fun night and everyone enjoyed it.
