| Holy Greetings: Brethren, the good news of a promise being left us of entering into His rest was preached before to the Hebrews Christians because they were heading towards a condition of Apostasy and unbelief Heb.10: 25) weakness in Prayer (Heb.12: 12) refusal to teach others (Heb.5:12) and hence disappointing conduct. In Hebrew 5:11-12 we read, We have things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. For when for the time ye ought to be teachers ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracle of God; and become such that are in need of milk and not strong meet. For everyone that useth milk, is unskillful in the Word of righteousness, for He is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of age. |
| Brethren, as you know the above-mentioned problem was addressed long ago, but a similar spirit of Apostasy and unbelief is prevalent among believers today. So I urge you to review the the Book of Hebrews and all scriptures related to the "rest of the Lord, Yahweh, your God," and you will find them to be very interesting and helpful in your walk with Yahweh, today. Let us go through Heb: 4-11 briefly below. |
| Let Us Reason Together: I invite you to go through with me Hebrews 4: 1-11 and let us see what further blessings in the form of understanding, we can receive from our Lord, Yeshua, the Messiah (Jesus) as He speaks to us through the pure Word concerning the word "rest" (Sabbath) . In verse 3, "For we which have believed do enter into His rest" (abode), Katpausis (reposing down). In 4:4, "For He spoke in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest rest" (Katapauo, cease) "the seventh day from all His works." In verse 5, "If they shall enter into my rest..."(abode) In verse 8, "If Jesus had given them rest," (abode) "then would he not afterwards have spoken of another day." In verse 9, "There therefore remains a rest," (abode or Katapausis) "to the people of God." In verse10, "For he that is entered into his rest" (abode) "he hath ceased" (Katapauo) "from his own works as Yahweh, God did from His." In verse 11, "Let us labor to enter into that rest" (abode) "lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief" (unbelief also means disobedience). |
| Please note the order, one has to cease (katapauo) from his secular labor first to enter into God's abode or to observe the seventh day Sabbath of Yahweh, for He is to be put first. The fact that one goes before the Lord on the seventh day shows that he/she literally ceases from his/her own works during the first six days to spend ample time with Him. Note: The rest, His Day, and obedience to the Word are all important here. |
| Once again His Majesty, King Yahshua (Jesus) has spoken to us through His Word, and I believe God. Cessation from manual labor on the seventh day is a command of our Creator and King, and, also His desire, and decree brethren.Now if the decree of an earthly king is irreversible, how much more is the decree of His Majesty, Yahweh, Creator of heaven and earth? If we claim to be subjects in the Kingdom of God, (kingdom is used here in its abstract sense and means Rule) we must show our loyalty to Him. Let's humble ourselves under His mighty hand and adhere to His Word where His Sabbath is concern, among other important teachings and things. If we don't then under whose rule are we? Let Yahweh' Word, and the Holy Spirit guide and teach you. Get serious with Yahweh, today. |
| We have to learn to accept changes that are scripturally sound, appropriate, adapt to them, and flow with the Spirit of God, to understand what Yahweh is really doing at this last hour. I hear someone saying, God has to tell me this first before I believe. Yes, He will, but you have to be in tuned with Him first. The change starts with you and in you. Be that change today. Believe the Word and receive a miracle of a changed heart, now. |
| I urge you to study the Word prayerfully concerning the Sabbath of the Lord, Yahweh, the Almighty. It is a two- fold rest ( Katpausis, Katapauo) which completes the process. |
| My beloved, we allow truth and Power to be taken away from us, when we disbelieve or disobey the Word concerning the Sabbath of Yahweh. You have the right; and power is in your own hands, to rediscover His sabbath, and take your blessings back, here, and, now. Take it back from man made institutionalized systems designed to control you socially. Read, study and believe what Yahweh, your God, says in His Word, and be reformed, revived, refreshed, rejuvenated, and rekindled fully on every seventh day (after six days of hard work). If Yahweh is your God then obey His commands, and pray for those who try to over throw your faith in observing His Sabbath by telling you that you are not under the law but under grace. Tell me whose report would you beieve? Everyone wants to obey Yahweh. Some would believe His report, what about you friend? Sometimes we find it difficult to make decisions like these, which sound confusing, I admit. However, if you want to make a decision on whose report you are going to believe, then you should follow the example of the apostles in Acts Chapter 4: 19 -20. The Apostles had to make a decision either to obey the stern threats of the past and present High priests, such as John, and Alexander, or, what Yahshua, Messiah instructed them to do. I advise you to read the whole of Acts Chapter three (3) and Chapter 4: 1-30. Note: There are many threats today, and they are coming in like a flood, but we who believe have a sure anchor in Yah shua, the messiah. The Word is going to take us through all of this, and more for sure. I believe Yahweh. |
| Decision making is no easy thing to do, and because of the seriousness of it, one should always pray about it and wait for an answer from Yahweh. One should also seek the help of trustworthy believers to help in one' decision making, if one feels led, and the answer must be according to the pure Word at all times. If the answer cannot be found in the Word of Yahweh then one must question it, and leave a question mark against it? So you may seek wise answers from the pure Word to ensure you make wise decisions. We can rely on the Word to make a wise decision on the true sabbath of Yahweh the Lord, our God. Genesis 2:1- 3, Ex. 20: 10, 31:13. This is a biblical fact, you see. For example, say, if you want to make a wise decision on the true sabbath of Yahweh, you must find the revelant scriptures in the Word, which state this clearly, and the subject (7th day sabbath) must be also acknowledged by Yahshua, the Messiah, and the Apostles. In Genesis 2:1-3 we read, " And on the seventh day Yahweh ended His work ... and He rested on the seventh day... and blessed the seventh day and sanctified it." In Exodus 20:8 we read, "Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy. Six day shall thou labor and do all thy work: but the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord, thy God..." The 7th day sabbath sets believers apart unto Yahweh Himself, and if we observe it in righteousness only, "Ye may know that I am the Lord your God that doth sanctify you." Exodus 31:12-13) In verse 14 we read, "It is Holy unto you." in Verse 17 we read, " It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever (all believers in Yahshua, the Messiah (the greater Jacob) are integral parts of Spiritual Israel (Body of Messiah). May Yahweh open the understanding of those who teach otherwise. For those who are of the opinion that the Sabbath is applicable to Israel in the flesh only , please be advised that it is for all flesh. In Isaiah 66: 23 we read, " And it shall come to pass that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship me, said the Lord...." In Matt 12:8 we read, "For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day." Read acts 17:2. This is very clear, so you can make a wise decision on the 7 th day Sabbath according to the Word, which says," All flesh shall come to worship Yahweh, from one Sabbath to another, and so fulfill this prophesy in your life today." "Come unto me ... and I will give you rest" Matt.12: 28, "There therefore remaineth a rest to the people of God" (Yahweh) For he that is entered into His rest hath ceased from His own works as God did from His." Heb. 4:9-10 "Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest (His twofold rest) lest any man fall in the same example of unbelief." (disobedience) Hebrew 4:11 Elder Wilfred A.
