Year of Godly Distinctness 2007; and Beyond
"Cry aloud spare not, lift up your voice like a trumpet, and show my peoplr their transgressions, and the House of Jacob theiir sins..." Isaiah 58:1
We ought to give the most earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should slip...."Heb 2:1-11
Subject:Is Sunday Worship the Sabbath of Yahweh?
I met a Pastor friend a  few months ago, who told me that he observes the Sabbath. So I told him that  I was happy to hear such good news about him. However, as we continued our  conversation on the subject, he said that he observes the Sabbath on Sundays  by worshiping Yahweh with his congregation and keeping the day holy. I ended  up reminding him that the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Yahweh, our God.
First, worshiping  Yahweh on Sundays or for that matter on any other day is scripturally right  and proper, provided it is done in spirit and in truth John 4:24, Romans  14:4-5). According to divine order, the first day (Sunday) is not the  seventh day Sabbath of Yahweh, our God. Sunday worshiping is only a  preference, and no man has the right to judge anyone who chooses to worship  Yahweh on a particular day/s. However, to say that the Sabbath of Yahweh,  our God, is the first day of the week (Sunday) is not in line with the Word.  To observe an event that occurred on a specific day on some other day would  not necessarily represent the truth about the original event.
Thus, for example,  it is like if you were born on the first day (Sunday) of the week, and  you change that date to the seventh day (Saturday) of the week, and  thereafter continue to celebrate your birthday on the seventh day of  that particular month every year, does not rule out the fact that you  were born on the first day. You may be able to make that change but the  truth about your birth still stands out. So it is with the seventh day  Sabbath of Yahweh, our God. Genesis 2: 1-3
Second, it is time  to repent (change your thinking) and instead of hearing the word of  sincere men/women, who are sincerely wrong in their interpretation of  the seventh day Sabbath of Yahweh, hear the Word of Yahweh and apply  it to your life. As one of His creation, be proud to identify with  Yahweh, your God, and His seventh day Sabbath in memory of His work at  creation. Rejoice, the fact that you personally were there. O yes! The real you, your spirit I mean, were there among mine and all  others. Genesis 1: 26-28.  Therefore what you/we have forgot, the Word  and the Holy Spirit are present to remind you/us, so that we may make  the right decisions, and allow the Holy Spirit to restore our lives and  lifestyle according to Divine Order in the following paragraphs below.  John 14:15-27, 16:15-18
In creating the  Universe, Yahweh divided the darkness that was upon the face of the  deep (water). Subsequently, He spoke light into being and called it  day, and, the darkness, He called night. ?Thus the evening and the  morning were the first day? Gen. 1:1-4). The first day is among the  seventh of Yahweh weekly cycle, and is universally accepted as  Sunday according to the Roman?s calendar; likewise, the seventh day  of the week in this calendar is Saturday.  The first day (according to Divine Order) has it own significance  both in a physical and spiritual sense. In the former, Yahweh  divided (separated) the light from the darkness and called the light  Day and the darkness He called Night. The light rules the day, and,  thus lights up the universe.
While in  the latter, Yahshua Messiah is the Light of the human world,  the true light which lights up every man that comes into the  world.? John 1:1-14, 1John 1:1-7 He is this divine light which  dwells in us and manifests itself through our practical  lifestyle, when we hear the Word, repent of our sins, ask  His forgiveness and invite Him into our hearts and lives.  Spiritually speaking, here is where our first day begins because  we close the door to unrighteousness and open the door to  righteousness. Here is where Messiah Yahshua comes in our lives  dispels the darkness from us, and shines His marvelous light in  and through us as we obey His Word and walk in the light of  it as he shines it on our pathway. Col. 1:12-13, 1 Peter  2:9-10, rev.3:20
Another  first day of the week experience of great significance is the  resurrection of Yahshua, the Messiah. However, since the seventh  day Sabbath of Yahweh came before His resurrection, it is  interesting to follow the Divine Order, through the Word, to  learn the truth about both events, and especially Yahshua's attitude before and after the Sabbath of that week. Thus,  knowledge of this truth would help us to have a different  attitude towards Yah?s seventh day Sabbath, and observe it for  the honor and glory of Yahweh.
It is  important to note that the prophecy in Daniel 9: 25-26 was  fulfilled in AD 33 when Yahshua was cut off in the middle of  the week.
In  Daniel 9: 25-26 we read, Know therefore and understand,  that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and  to build Jerusalem unto Messiah, the prince, shall be seven  weeks, and three score and two weeks: and after three core  and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off (crucified) but not  for Himself.
According to the above mentioned, the day which falls in the  middle of the seven day weekly cycle is Wednesday, and this  is the said day Yahshua, the Messiah was crucified,  according to Divine Order and its reckoning. Through John?s  account in Chapter 19: 31 we understand that on that day, the Jews, who were preparation for a high Sabbath the next  day, did not want the crucified bodies to remain on stakes  on the Sabbath, so they asked Pilate?s permission to break  their legs and take them away. So since the night comes  before the day, Wednesday at sundown would be the  commencement of Thursday night which lasts for about twelve  hours, and is then followed by twelve hours of daylight to  complete a whole day. Thus, for example, Wednesday at  sundown to Thursday at sundown, Thursday at sundown to  Friday at sundown, and Friday at sundown to Saturday at  sundown would be three days or seventy two hours. So by  following the divine pattern for the rest of the days of the  week, you will see that Yahshua, like Jonah (in the bowels  of the great fish) did spend three days and three nights in  the bowels of the earth. Luke 11:30, Jonah 1:17, 2:10.
You  will also see that there were two Sabbaths in that week  namely a high or special Sabbath and the seventh day  Sabbath of Yahweh. Also, that Yahshua observed the  seventh day Sabbath while he was in the tomb, in memory  of Yahweh?s finished work at creation, fulfilling the  Sabbath, and most importantly, ensuring His Sabbath  Journey through eternity and back to His Father; and  left His followers a clear example/pattern to follow. He also rested because His work on earth in the flesh  was finished, and just waited for His resurrection after  the end of the Seventh day Sabbath or after sundown  Saturday. The lesson learnt here is that when we weary  souls would have ceased from our unrighteous  works/living, we would have found spiritual rest (a  spiritual Sabbath) in Messiah, celebrated that victory  giving Yahweh the glory. Further, we would have identify  that cessation of our own works with that of Yahweh at  creation, and would have joined with Him in His Sabbath on the seventh day Sabbath of Yahweh, our God.
iIt  is important to note that the first century church (body  of Messiah) observed the Sabbath, counted the day  according to Divine Order, and so they had known when to  go to look for Yahshua. In John 20:1 we read
The  first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early  when it was yet dark, unto the sepulcher and saw  that the stone was taken away from the sepulcher.  So it  was not even day light as yet when Yahshua was  resurrected from the dead. Yahweh raised up Yahshua from  the dead on that Sunday night,  that is some time  between after sundown Saturday, and long before dawn  that day. John 19:31-42, 20: 1-18, Matt. 28: 1-20, Mark  16: 9, Matt.24: 1-12
In the above  mentioned, the events of the first day were not the  same as those of the seventh day in both cases  namely, Yahweh work at creation and His Sabbath, and  Yahshua's Sabbath in the bowels of the earth and His  resurrection. The seventh day Sabbath was divinely  instituted. It is unchangeable. It cannot be  substituted either.
Worshiping Yahweh on  Sundays, provided it is not substituted for the  seventh day Sabbath, is a matter of preference, and  is scripturally right in that sense. It is time to  repent (change your thinking) and instead of hearing  the word of sincere men/women, who are sincerely  wrong in their interpretation of the seventh day  Sabbath of Yahweh.  The first day (according to Divine Order) has it own  significance both in a physical and spiritual sense,  and likewise the seventh day. Choose this day whose  order you will follow. If you follow man?s order,  you will believe that Sunday worshiping is the  seventh day Sabbath observed on Sundays, or that you  are not under law so the Sabbath is not for you, and  you celebrate the resurrection of Yahshua on Sundays  instead. You will believe that Yahshua was crucified  on a Friday which they call good. If  that really happened, then whoever they crucified on  that day did not spend three days and three nights  in the earth, so it certainly was not Yahshua the  Messiah
Think and pray  about the above mentioned, and on behalf of all  our learned teachers/preachers, who sincerely  teach what was taught to them without first  searching the scriptures prayerfully enough.  Let?s pray especially for those, who know the  truth and do not preach or teach it because of  church affiliation and other ulterior motives.
If you follow  Divine Order, you will know Yahweh and His ways,  and will allow the Holy Spirit to bring your  mind, body and spirit in line with His Word. You  will honor His Word, and will love Him more and  more each day, as you grow in grace and the  stature of the Lord Yahshua, the Messiah (Jesus  Christ. You will have a ready answer and more if  or when you are asked the question, ?Is Sunday  worshiping the seventh day Sabbath of Yahweh?  Go tell the Word to the World Matt.  24:14.) Shalom (Peace).
