The Grand Scheme
Back to Words
Once I was just a drop of rain, floating freely upon the grey mist of a cloud. Then you came along and in a flash the sky burst open and together we fell. Oh, how I cried in fear, and then you sang to me. Fear not this, my love, fear not, for we are a part of a grand scheme that goes beyond our simple imaginings. Then we crashed upon the dark hard rock of a mountain, slipping and sliding over it sleek surface. We began to gather in rivulets, that raced downwards upon this seemingly unforgiving surface of the mountain. And again I cried in fear. What is happening here? And you sang to me, fear not my love for we are a part of a grand scheme that goes beyond our simple imaginings. The farther we flowed, the greater the gathering. The greater the gathering, the faster we flowed. Soon the rock gave way to soft earth, that could not resist our force and we took it with us. Once crystal clear we became brown and muddy. And I cried out in fear, but you were there to sing to me. And you sang, fear not my love for we are a part of a grand scheme that goes beyond our simple imaginings. No longer were we mere rivulets, we grew bigger and greater, and flowed with what seemed an unknown purpose. The silt began to leave us, and once again we became clear. Then one day we no longer flowed, though we were not still. And it seemed the moon would rock us back and forth, and I felt joy . I cried out. Where are we? And you sang to me. My love we are no longer drops of rain, we have become the ocean, and it is a grand scheme that goes beyond our simple imaginings. as always to you with my love
