Latika Cusco Travel has prepared a short overview about Cusco and its surroundings. The history of Cusco started about 3,000 years ago when a few inhabitants of the Tiahuanaco Culture decided to settle next to the River Huatanay. During the 1000s the Incas settled in Cusco, but it was Inca Pachacutec the Emperor who converted Cusco in the Empire of the Incas.
Nowadays, Cusco is a cosmopolitan city where it is possible to find the best of the Southern Peruvian culture. Latika Cusco Travel believes that the mysticism of Cusco will make you feel as if you are in a different world. Most people planning to stay in Cusco for one or two days go back home regretting their choice.
Cusco Travel The City of Cusco is surrounded by several Incan and Colonial buildings. This combination of buildings gives Cusco a magical architecture and style. The Cathedral of Cusco, completed in 1654, is a masterpiece of Colonial architecture. At the Qoricancha Temple, the Spaniards built the Church of Santo Domingo. This building is a clear example of the use of Incan walls as the base of Colonial buildings. The mystery of Sacsayhuaman has been part of the research of several archeologists from all over the world because of its immense stones placed together.
