10 Things I Hate About Band

I hate the way you pressure me
Into being right and fair.
I hate the way you mark time wrong,
And when you stop to fix your hair.
I hate our big dumb concert suits,
And the way you don't keep time.
I hate you so much it makes me sick--
It even makes me rhyme.
I hate the way you're always right,
I will untill I die.
I hate it when you make me laugh--
Even worse when you make me cry.
I hate it when there's not a sound
And we're marching in the hall.
But mostly I hate the way I don't hate you--
Not even close, not even a little bit, not even at all.

Disclaimer: This poem is a paradoy on the poem written by Karen McCullah Lutz & Kirsten Smith, adapted from the play by William Shakespeare. Furthermore, I must state that I don't really hate our concert suits, they're a lot better than some (that's for you, Mr. Smith). I don't hate band at all, I LOVE IT! (I tried "10 Things I Love About Band", but the last phrase never seemed to work out right :)
