| The Lancelot is nearing completion. I have always thought of the Constrellation Class as being the workhorse of the Federation Starfleet. I wanted to add little greeblies around the ship that reflected all the equipment which would be used on her various missions. The nacelles and impulse crystals (port and starboard) were painted white, then light blue to simulate the ship in its powered-up mode. The detailing shown in the above picture are from my scrap box, mainly pieces from kitbashed Star Wars kits. The groundwork for the aztec patterning is complete. The windows have been put on with a fine white paint pen. |

| This is not a genuine "aztec" design, but it does give the impression of different plates. I used silver and dark green to do the plating along the bottom of the saucer section. (above pictures). The plating on top of the saucer was done with only silver, and I am not entirely happy with the look. The picture to the right is after only the first wash with dark ghost gray. I will be adding dark green for some of the plating, and then do subsequent washes with light ghost gray. |
